Crosswalk Arts is committed to creating accessible opportunities for people from all walks of life to discover and participate in creative expression by bringing workshops, performances, and interactive experiences into the community. We strive to uplift artistic practices across disciplines, celebrating the wide range of influences and approaches that shape contemporary work.
Interdisciplinary Approach - Crosswalk Arts promotes creativity existing beyond disciplinary boundaries. The arts are most commonly understood through individual forms. While there are beneficial aspects to simplicity, working in this type of isolation can sometimes limit full creative potential. We value creating space for exploration and the exchange of ideas among artists of various disciplines.
Interactive experiences - We believe there is creative potential in challenging the separation between artist and consumer. If art is created with the viewers in mind, the viewers are, by default, necessary for the completion of the art, and are an integral part of the work itself. We value opportunities for artists to explore the live participation of those experiencing the work, and for community members to discover art in entirely new ways.
Creativity Across Experience - Crosswalk Arts creates opportunities to bring together professional, emerging, and youth artists, along with community members of all generations. Encompassing a range of skill levels creates a powerful representation of community, and celebrates creativity as experiences meant to be shared.
Access and Community - We are committed to bringing creative experiences into different areas of the community and providing opportunities for people to encounter art in unexpected places. We believe that the arts should not be limited to traditional arts spaces or to those who actively seek them out. As well, we strive to make creative experiences accessible to people of different backgrounds, abilities, and circumstances. By making space for discovery and connection, we hope to inspire new relationships with the arts and invite more people to see themselves as part of the creative community.

The inspiration behind the festivals:
Launching Spring 2027, Crosswalk Arts produces multidisciplinary art festivals that celebrate creativity alongside seasonal themes. The inspiration behind each festival stems from humanity's long-standing relationship with the solar cycles.
For thousands of years, people have observed the sun to understand the passage of time and how conditions change throughout the year. Across many cultures, the seasons have been a framework for understanding and relating to cycles of change: when to begin, when to grow, when to gather and celebrate, and when to rest.
Though cultures and traditions have varied, humanity is connected by a shared observation of the solar cycle and our individual experiences in a world we’re all a part of.
Crosswalk Arts invites community members to celebrate individuality and shared connection through creative expression and the merging of ideas.
